Last updated: August 15, 2023
At PermacultureTube, we're building a community dedicated to sharing knowledge about permaculture, regenerative farming, and sustainable living. These guidelines help ensure our platform remains a positive, educational space where everyone feels welcome and respected.
By using PermacultureTube, you agree to follow these guidelines. Failure to comply may result in content removal, account restrictions, or termination in severe or repeated cases.
Core Principles
Our community is guided by these fundamental principles:

Treat all community members with respect, regardless of background, experience level, or perspective.
Accuracy & Integrity
Share information that is accurate, truthful, and based on sound permaculture principles.
Constructive Engagement
Engage in discussions that are constructive, supportive, and focused on learning and improvement.
Environmental Stewardship
Promote practices that regenerate ecosystems and support sustainable human habitats.
Content Guidelines
We encourage content that:
- Educates and informs about permaculture principles, techniques, and applications
- Demonstrates practical skills related to regenerative farming, gardening, and sustainable living
- Shares experiences and case studies of permaculture projects and implementations
- Discusses innovations and research in sustainable agriculture and ecological design

Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted on PermacultureTube:
Harmful or Dangerous Practices
Content that promotes practices that could cause significant harm to people, animals, or ecosystems, including unsafe food preservation methods, misidentification of wild plants, or improper handling of hazardous materials.
Harassment & Hate Speech
Content that harasses, bullies, or demeans individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other personal characteristics.
Misinformation
Content that deliberately spreads false information about ecological, agricultural, or scientific topics, particularly when such misinformation could lead to harmful outcomes.
Illegal Activities
Content that promotes or provides instructions for illegal activities, including trespassing, poaching, illegal foraging, or cultivation of prohibited plants.
Spam & Deceptive Practices
Content that is primarily commercial in nature, misleading, or designed to artificially inflate views or engagement, including clickbait, excessive self-promotion, or scams.
Important Note on Foraging Content
Content about wild plant identification and foraging must include clear safety warnings and emphasize the importance of proper identification. Never encourage harvesting endangered species or foraging in protected areas. Content that shows unsafe foraging practices may be removed.
Community Behavior
How we interact with each other is just as important as the content we share. We expect all community members to:
- Be respectful and constructive in comments, discussions, and feedback
- Acknowledge different perspectives and approaches to permaculture and sustainable living
- Support newcomers and those with less experience in a welcoming manner
- Resolve disagreements respectfully through civil discussion rather than arguments
- Give proper credit when sharing or building upon others' ideas or content
Comment Guidelines
Comments should contribute positively to the discussion. Avoid:
- Personal attacks or insults directed at creators or other community members
- Off-topic discussions that derail the conversation
- Excessive self-promotion or spam
- Deliberately provocative statements designed to cause conflict
- Sharing misinformation or unverified claims presented as facts
Enforcement
We take a balanced approach to enforcing these guidelines, recognizing that education and improvement are often better than punishment. Our enforcement actions may include:
Warning
For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning explaining the issue and how to correct it. This gives you an opportunity to learn and improve without further consequences.
The specific enforcement action taken depends on several factors:
- The severity of the violation
- Whether it's a first-time or repeated violation
- The potential harm to the community or individuals
- The context and intent behind the content or behavior
- The user's response when notified about concerns
Reporting Violations
We rely on our community to help maintain these standards. If you encounter content or behavior that violates our guidelines:
- 1Use the reporting feature available on videos, comments, or user profiles
- 2Select the appropriate reason for your report from the options provided
- 3Provide specific details about the violation to help our moderation team understand the issue
- 4Submit the report and our team will review it as soon as possible
For urgent concerns or complex situations that cannot be adequately addressed through the standard reporting feature, you can contact our moderation team directly at moderation@permaculturetube.com.
Note: False or malicious reporting is itself a violation of our community guidelines. Only submit reports for genuine concerns about content that violates our guidelines.
Appeals Process
We recognize that mistakes can happen in content moderation. If you believe your content was incorrectly removed or your account was wrongly restricted, you have the right to appeal:
- 1Submit an appeal through your account settings or via the link provided in the notification email
- 2Explain why you believe the decision was incorrect, providing any relevant context or evidence
- 3Wait for review by a different member of our moderation team than the one who took the original action
- 4Receive a decision typically within 5-7 business days, along with an explanation
Appeals are an important part of our moderation process and help us improve our enforcement. We review each appeal carefully and are committed to fair and consistent application of our guidelines.
Help Us Build a Positive Community
These guidelines help ensure PermacultureTube remains a valuable resource for the permaculture community. By following them, you contribute to a positive, educational environment where everyone can learn and grow together.
